World pace surprises Stuart

Teenage Bloemfontein race driver Stuart White was satisfied to have made the pre finals of the CIK-FIA Junior World Kart Championships in Bahrain over the weekend, even though the results may not have met the pre-race expectations of the lad who has stood on the Junior Rok International Finals podium twice in the past two years.

“I'm satisfied to have made it through to the pre-finals in Bahrain,” White admitted. “It’s the first time we’ve raced in this series and were not quite sure what to expect and as it turned out, we never quite had the pace to make it through to the final. “The level of competition and preparation is at another level here, but it was still a very good experience.

“It was also good to race in the World Championships — it’s the last year we can race as a Junior and it was an awesome experience all-round, so thanks to everyone who made this and the rest of our racing year possible — it’s been a great season.”
