North dominates Vereeniging Academy

South African CIK-FIA Academy karter Jordan North returned home from his winning ways in Finland a week ago to stamp authority on the local MSA Academy Trophy races at Vereeniging’s Laserfiche Raceway on Saturday. Northcliff, Johannesburg lad North dominated proceedings with a pole position and four straight race wins to move onto the championship lead in the process.

“That was a good weekend,” Jordan smiled. “I put it on pole and then had four wins in four heats! “The first two races were pretty easy, but the third was so close - I had to fight Jason Coetzee and Wayland Wyman off and we were covered by just over a tenth of a second at the finish. “I also had to find a way past Jason in the final but we did it in the end and I’m delighted with the result.

“Most importantly we have provisionally moved into the MSA Academy Trophy championship lead, so it’s game on from here. “Thanks to the team — my dad, RKT and everyone else who helps make it all happen!”
