Summarize

Legendary motorcycle maker Husqvarna was the world’s first dirt bike maker with its pioneering purpose-built 1955 off-road machine that weighed in at just 75kg, featured revolutionary telescopic forks, hydraulic dampers and a frame-mounted engine. Husqvarnas were soon winning races and world championships and the brand is today a dominant force in world motocross, enduro and off-road racing.

Husqvarna has long led the way in dirt bike development through dramatic suspension and technological breakthroughs through to today’s new generation of 4-stroke competition motorcycles as part of a a full range of premium new-generation off-road motorcycles resplendent in classic white, blue and yellow colours and ready to win.

The company’s South African arm runs a strong Enduro and Cross Country team comprising Brett Swanepoel in Cross Country  and Brett and Henco Botha in Enduro. The Pepson Plastics Husqvarna Off Road Team has had a good run in Cross Country, where Brett led the 350cc OR2 class after the opening round and lay third overall behind a pair of Open class riders.

Henco also enjoyed an awesome start in to this Enduro E1 season with a third and a fifth in the opening rounds to place him third overall in the championship behind Bouverie and de Wet. Brett has had a difficult start to his Enduro season, missing the first race due to injury and retiring from the second, but he’s ready to bounce back.

The Pepson Plastics Husqvarna Motorcycles South African Off Road team rides on Metzeler Tyres, uses Bel-Ray lubricants and FMF exhausts and pits with Portable Shade, where the team is equipped with Snap-On Tools and the team depends on 32Gi Nutrition.

Husqvarna Motorcycles also runs a SA National Motocross Team.
