Red-Lined motorsport finally starts the season in style
Red-Lined Motorsport came home from the 2026 South African Rally-Raid Championship season opening Ingco Parys 400 with a class victory, four podiums and two top ten finishes. Peet Victor and Van Zyl Jonck’s Red-Lined VK50 won the T1 Adventure class, while Philip Botha and Andries Mynhardt’s Red-Lined REVO T1+ V8 ended second in the SA T1+ class just ahead of Dutch crew, Victor Versteijnen and Petrus van Dal in their REVO T1+ GT-R. Tyler Botha and Kyle Lotter then picked up their first ever National podium with a third place in the T1 class in their Red-Lined VK50.
“Red-Lined Motorsport finally got down to racing in superb style with a class win, a few podiums and a couple of top ten finishes in the Ingco Parys 400,” team boss Terence Marsh summed it up. “The season opener delivered a tough and challenging two days racing along the banks of the Vaal River with a very rocky and technical Friday stage followed by fast-flowing stages on the Saturday. Nonetheless, our teams adapted accordingly and put in stellar performances to start the season.”
VAPS HCV Rally-Raid crew Peet Victor and Van Zyl Jonck celebrated a year of racing since their debut in Parys a year ago with a delighted maiden T1 Adventure class victory aboard their Red-Lined VK50. The VAPS HCV Rally-Raid chalice flowed over when teammates Tyler Botha and Kyle Lotter raced home third in T1 aboard their similar VK50 machine.
It was also a good day for Red-Lined Motorsport in the SA T1+ class when the ever-consistent Philip Botha and Andries Mynhardt successfully opened their 2026 season by steering their Penta Motor Group backed REVO T1+ V8 home in a superb second in class. Dutch duo Victor Versteijnen and Petrus van Dal followed them home in third aboard their DaklaPack Rallysport REVO T1+ GT-R to make it four Parys podium finishes for Red-Lined machinery.
Fellow Dutch Red-Lined REVO T1+ crew Rients Hofstra and Evert Boersma were less fortunate when they were forced to retire after a high-speed impact with a big rock on the Friday which unfortunately wasn’t repairable overnight. Still, team principal Terence was delighted with the outcome. “Red-Lined took four of the nine podium places available in the car category this weekend, which for obvious reasons was a really successful start to the championship for us. Once again, a great team effort from all our guys which ultimately led to these results!”
Red-Lined Motorsport and South African Rally-Raid will now make up time with round 2 of the 2026 Championship with a three-day 1000km race around Stella in the North West from 24 to 26 July.
