It’s a huge weekend for Red-Lined Motorsport as the local arm takes six cars to the second round 2026 South African Rally Raid Championship Stella 1000 marathon event. At the very same time, the European arm will tackle the ever-popular Baja Aragon event with another six Red-Lined machines represented on that Spanish start line. 

“While our South African focus is squarely on this year’s marathon Stella 1000 event, management’s attention will be split with six more proudly South African Red-Lined cars competing at the Baja Aragon in Spain,” Red-Lined Group CEO Terence Marsh explains. “Looking at the South African Championship effort for now, we have three cars chasing SA Ultimate T1+ glory and three more machines looking for success in the T1 Adventure class.”

Philip Botha and Andries Mynhardt will be out to build on their strong SA T1+ championship start aboard their Penta Motor Group REVO T1+. Among their biggest class rivals are two more Red-Lined REVO T1+ V8s. Not least of all, reigning T1 class champions, father and son Johan and Sean van Staden in their KEC Racing’s version. 

Abri and Iaan Olivier in a VAPS HCV Rally-Raid REVO T1+ continue to gain experience in their first year of National competition in what is a very competitive SA T1+ class. They will be backed by their two VAPS HCV Rally-Raid teammates Peet Victor and Van Zyl Jonck and Tyler Botha and Kyle Lotter in their Red-Lined VK50’s with both crews fresh from their impressive podium results in Parys last time out. They will also have to contend with Nielen Marx and Rikus Hattingh in a third Red-Lined VK50.

“The Stella 1000 will be the toughest event in this year’s South African Rally-Raid Championship, so we’re expecting three gruelling days in the North West province” Terence concludes. “Our local team is ready as we chase success in the two National classes, while our European team mates are locked and loaded for their Spanish challenge. A busy and challenging weekend awaits us all but as always, we are looking forward to it!”
