Red-Lined can’t wait for SA Rally-Raid Championship first round

Red-Lined Motorsport is beyond champing at the bit to finally get down to racing in the much delayed start to the 2026 South African Rally-Raid Championship.  The South African international race car manufacturer has no less than eight cars entered for this first round, the Ingco Parys 400 which will run along the banks of the Vaal River on the 19 and 20 June.

“It’s been a very long wait after a few unforeseen circumstances, but now it seems we will finally get down to some serious racing,” Red-Lined CEO Terence Marsh explains. “To be honest, as a team we cannot wait for the Ingco Parys 400. We will have a strong line-up and a good representation of our Red-Lined machinery at this season opener.

“Sadly, for us but good for Jayden Els, our young star driver was made an offer he simply couldn’t refuse, so he departs to another team where we wish him nothing but the best going forward. In his absence, our other international GTR pilot Rients Hofstra takes over the hot seat alongside his fellow Dutchman Evert Boersma on the notes as they take on the mighty factory teams in the hotly contested international FIA T1+ class.”

Red-Lined is well represented by no less than four entries in the SA T1+ class. Reigning T1 Adventurer class champions, Johan and Sean van Staden’s V8 powered REVO T1 joins Philip Botha and Andries Mynhardt’s similar Penta Motor Group machine with Abri and Iaan Olivier in a VAPS HCV Rally-Raid version. Dutch DaklaPack Rallysport crew, Victor Versteijnen and Petrus van Dal meantime add a little international flavour to the SA class in their REVO T1+ GT-R.

Three Red-Lined VK50s will also be on the start line in the ever-competitive T1 Adventurer class,. VAPS HCV Rally-Raid crews, Peet Victor and Van Zyl Jonck and Tyler Botha and Kyle Lotter will be joined by young sprinters, Nielen Marx and Rikus Hattingh in what is playing out to be another internal shootout on its own among similar specification Red-Lined machinery.

“Parys may be a very late start to the South African Rally-Raid Championship, but we are certainly looking forward to tackling what is known as a tough and demanding event along the banks of the Vaal River,” Terence concludes. “Being so close to Gauteng, we hope to see many of our Red-Lined fans coming out to support our team effort!”
