Dias, Moore share Rookie Cup wins at Scribante

The 2026 Volkswagen Rookie Cup continued to deliver unexpected results at Aldo Scribante in Gqeberha on Saturday. Home hero Jack Moore took the first race win before Johannesburg rival Sebastian Dias’ second and third heat wins saw him claim the overall win for the day with log leader Luke Hill only fourth overall on a day that once again served to shake up the title chase.

Gqeberha local Jack Moore used his home track advantage to best effect to put his UMA Fleet Dynamics Foton Polo Vivo GT on pole position ahead of Sebastian Dias’ PMD Versaflex ONE version. 23degrees lad Sebastian Venkov lined up third from championship leader Luke Hill’s Steelform Praga CMTA car, the returning Anwill April’s Pedro April Consulting machine, Keyaan Dwomoh’s Adhive Group car and Century Racing lad Max Corbett .

Jack Moore made no mistakes to lead Sebastian Dias and quick starting Luke Hill home to win the opening of three heats. Sebastian Venkov followed while Keyaan Dwomoh and Anwill April both found their way past another fast starter, Max Corbett. Sebastian Dias then led Sebastian Venkov and Luke Hill home in a straightforward second race with Jack Moore fourth from Anwill April, Keyaan Dwomoh and Max Corbett.

Sebastian Dias then made it a double in the finale as Jack Moore found a way past Sebastian Venkov for second. Luke Hill followed from Anwill April and Keyaan Dwomoh who made a midrace pass on Max Corbett for sixth. Overall, Sebastian Dias took the day from Jack Moore, Sebastian Venkov and Luke Hill with Anwill April fifth from Keyaan Dwomoh and Max Corbett.
