Karting lass Napier ready to deliver

Now in her second full year of karting, Roodepoort lass Tiffany Napier is well prepared and ready for the up and coming SA National Championship Junior Max Karting opening round at Vereeniging’s Laserfische raceway Monday 20 March in spite of a recent viral setback.

“We have done a lot of development work on my race equipment and I was very happy with my pace in recent testing at both Vereeniging and Zwartkops,” Tiffany explained. “Most importantly, I am fully over the virus that caused me to miss school for a week and which also had an effect on me maintaining my normal fitness regime.

”So the postponement of the recent Vereeniging regional was a blessing in disguise — that has allowed me to make a full recovery and to also give my BirelART team a little extra time to make sure that my Design Waterproofing Systems machine has the pace to run at the sharp end of the field.

“Junior Max is probably the most competitive class in karting at the moment and I’m racing against the best drivers in my age group from around South Africa, but I am confident for best results on Monday.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to specially thank Neil Basilio and Corrie Liebenberg from BirelART for all their effort in developing me from a relative newcomer to a strong contender for the 2017 season — I hope to make you all proud this weekend.”
