Blaine makes it nine NR wins in a row
Blaine Rademeyer remains unbeaten in this year’s Gauteng Northern Regions Senior Max Karting Championship following a cold, wet and ultimately dark day’s racing at Vereeniging’s Laserfiche Raceway Saturday. Rademeyer qualified on pole before powering to a trio of wins in spite of the attentions of world Mini Max champion and a finale run in floodlit conditions.
“I had an excellent day in some very miserable cold and wet conditions,” Blaine explained. “Pole position and three wins - it was a great weekend but not all easy. “I had to fight off a few good challenges from Jayden Els and to cap it, the last heat was run in the dark with track lights on!
“Most important is that I now have nine wins on the trot and a strong Northern regions lead as well as good points that count towards national Max championship. “We need to carry on winning at Zwartkops in a few weeks and then play a little catch up at the next national at iDube - I can’t wait for either of those races!”
