Rademeyer racing after all
Any idea the rest of Gauteng’s Junior Max karters may have had of an easy weekend at the Zwartkops Kart Raceway’s Northern Regions Saturday 3 June have gone out the window with news that the dominant Blaine Rademeyer has posted a late entry and will race after all.
Rademeyer, who has not lost a heat in the class so far this year had planned to study over the weekend, but his team has convinced him to pitch up and race Saturday morning. “My manager Ricky Perdigao has promised me a race-winning FA Kart,” Blain admitted. “So I’ll be taking a gap from my books and racing after all.”
Rademeyer has enjoyed an exceptional season in the Gauteng championship so far, but the Honeydew Curro Aurora High grade 8 student is also keen on best academic results. “I suppose I can sacrifice a study Saturday after all - the chance to make it twelve in a row was just too much to pass up — it’s far easier said than done, but so we will be there racing!”
